  • Hello,

I'm trying to switch my project Z Axis Scale to Regular since Normalized will be deprecated. Doing so render all my 3D layers with a highly constrained zoom level.

    From the documentation:

Select the name of the project in the Project Bar to show the project's properties. In the group Compatibility settings, there should be an item that says Convert Z axis scale with a link saying Convert to 'Regular'. Click that link, and then click OK to confirm. This will update the positions and sizes of all objects in all your project's layouts according to the Z scale to make sure they appear to be in the same place despite the fact the Z axis scale changed.

I cannot find the "Convert Z axis scale" option (I can only toggle between "Regular" and "Normalized"). I have added a 3D camera to my project (default values: Z = 965.7; scale = 1); it is present in the project but not yet implemented in the event sheets. Have I missed something?

    Thank you for your help

  • Are you sure you're using the latest release? If I open a project and switch the Z axis scale back to 'normalized', the option appears for me:

You might also want to review the near and far distances in the 'Advanced' section - if you had previously changed those, you may need to increase them for Z axis scale 'Regular'. Those also affect the maximum zoom range in the Layout View.

  • Thank you Ashley, had to switch back to "Normalized" to see the option
