How do I get a static background?

Hey! Totally new to construct...

I have a background image and I'd like it to be static as my player moves through the foreground. It's a distant mountain landscape.

I tried to figure it out but I can only find tutorials for "scrolling backgrounds" which is the opposite of what I want.

Basically as my character moves to the right the mountain background begins to disappear to the left and the background becomes a black void.

Any advice is much appreciated!

Create a new layer, put the image on it, set parallax to 0, 0on layer settings.
