How do I make a mask that only inverts the colors of a part of the screen?

I'm trying to make a game where half of the screen gets inverted colors but the other doesn't. I tried to look for something similar but I haven't found anything

If there are not too many objects, you can paste them on a drawing canvas, and apply Inverse affect to it.
