  • some say that vr 3d games in construct 3 are not possible, but what if we use our brains? what if you can just use web and send vr headset inputs to a program which runs on our pc and the output goes to the game using web?

  • if you didnt quite get what i said i can explain a little bit better :>

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • There is a point where a tricky workaround isn’t worth it. 3d vr would require rendering once per eye I’d guess and after that is more required to get it to a headset? No idea. Web browsers have limited capabilities but you can research what’s possible with js since construct doesn’t tout vr as a feature.

Construct just sounds like it would get in the way if all you want to do is relay input and receive output from another program that interacts with the vr headset. But if this is really something you want to try I’d say go for it. You’ll find the feasibility of it as you go.

  • the thing i meant is running a server on your pc to send input about the x y z position and rotation, can achieve through headset tracking and outputting it to receive movement in the app. my idea is using maybe headtrack or something else. about the per eye rendering, we can just maybe use a program to convert screen into the vr vision, i think it might work if the app is in fullscreen.

  • You can use WebXR to interface with most VR devices. Integrating it into Construct will complex but doable if you know your way around js. Rendering to the device will be the real challenge though, and might not even be possible without using external libraries.
