Game "Little Dino Adventure Returns" with complete Source-Code (Construct3 / .c3p) + HTML5 Exported.
  • The request microphone action is returning a policy violation in chrome and safari (at least for me). This only happens when the game is exported and on the Arcade. It works fine in preview window.

To test this I put together a quick demo: construct.net/en/free-online-games/microphone-check-76429/play

Requesting the microphone is in an action (tap object)

I have checked Chrome/Safari privacy settings and construct website is not blocked from using the microphone.

This is the only event in the game. User Media is added to the layout.

Am I missing something here? I probably am, but i can't see it.

Any help/thoughts would be much appreciated.

  • ps. I have created an issue on github as well. And i posted this post first in the website forum, but that was probably the wrong place to post... My apologies for that.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • For those interested:

I have uploaded my demo to static.app to test and the 'request microphone' action works as expected. A security message pops up for the user to 'allow microphone use'.

This leads me to think this is likely a Construct Arcade issue; not a Construct 3 issue.
