  • Hi all, so I am an amateur game developer.

Still working on my first game. I made the game a while ago and released a prototype on play store and app store. The game ran smooth with no problems

However since then I have added a lot of features and improved the game in many ways. Including reskinning the app. The original app ran great but now when I export the game through construct 3 for a debug apk. The frame rate is terrible and absolutely unplayable.

I've tried lots of settings in the project properties and setting to low latency helps make it a bit more playable but still skips frames when I touch the screen on android.

It runs great when exported for IOS.

Any ideas that could help me?

  • Try Construct 3

  • Hello, probably this issue: bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail

Basically, Construct 3 is an HTML5 engine that uses Chrome Webview for Android, which has always been problematic and have horrible performance. It's not Construct 3's fault though, at least directly, rather the tech they use, which Google provides.

  • Thank you for the quick response. This issue seems very much like the issue I'm having.

So is there a way I can change the default browser. Or another way I can overcome this issue.

It's strange, it was running well before I updated the app.

Exporting the app in desynchronised makes it almost playable for a lot of people but it would certainly put me off if I was looking for a casual game to play.
