Casino? money? who knows? but the target is the same!
  • I want to create a children's interactive cartoon in Construct 3. The project would play a 1–2 minute MP4 video, then when that video ends display an interactive C3 mini-game/choice activity. Once the child completes the activity, the next MP4 segment plays, followed by another interactive section, and so on. The finished project would be exported for browser/HTML5 use. Is this a practical and reliable approach in Construct 3, particularly on desktop, Android tablets and iPads? Are there any issues with video playback, memory, mobile browser autoplay restrictions or transitioning between video and interactive layers that I should be aware of? Would several short video segments be preferable to one long video that is paused and resumed?

  • Construct 3 should be good for this - and so would Construct Animate. Both should handle that all just fine. Probably the only thing to be aware of is autoplay restrictions in browsers often mean you can only start video playback in a click or touch - but that's how browsers treat web content in general, it's not specific to Construct, and all you need to do is add a "play" button to start video playback.
