Construct 3 Desktop - Launcher (Release & Version Management) [Deprecated]

Danny this is simply incredible. Thanks for this piece of art which will allow me to use C2 runtimes after Scirra blocks it in july.

I've got some old projects that simply can not be transformed to C3 standards (old plugins) and keeping them accessible is a very important thing for me.

this post should be made as sticky . this is very useful tool

i am not tat much active in forum, i waited for c3 desktop version. but found only this Construct 3 NW.js desktop app post , it is not tat much user friendly

then found this launcher

this launcher is very easy to use , and save my day

Hi Launcher team !

When I'm trying to apply the NWJS release build update (v0.51.1), the installation fails and I have a message saying :

> Code 15

> Failed to delete old source folder!

> (Update process has been cancelled.)

Any idea what I should do to complete the update please ?

It failed to remove your "construct3nwjs" folder while updating. This is usually a sign of 3rd party antivirus software blocking the process. Please whitelist both the updater and launcher and try again. This could also happen if you run it using very old or slow hardware.

I just tested it on my end and it all works fine. If it keeps failing, please do another post.

It's FSecure FSAFE. It was blocking c2runtime.js

Yes, Windows only.

This looks like a C3 issue. Ashley explained it quite well in the issue post. The launcher doesn't have anything to do with NWjs startup times, it just lauches NWjs and closes itself.

Latest NWJS doesn't seem to load external files, so might be worth for others to not update if you use that feature!

Today I updated NWJS with the 0.57 version in C3 Launcher, and since then, the C3 app doesn't load anymore. I see a short appearance of the C3 grey background but it crashes immediately.

Whatever the version I chose.

After switching back to NWJS 56.1 Construct 3 works again.
