  • Hi there!

I've never used Construct before, neither have experience building games, but I have been using HTML5 games for a while now, and I see how Construct can help me get better results.

I use my games on fair/expo environments, placed on a booth where people walk by and get a gift, instead of just handing them something and let them walk away, I try to make them "earn" the gift and expose them a little more to what I do.

So far I have a Fortune Wheel I can "re-skin" for each event made in Unity, and out of desperation I ended up making a trivia game in .... powerpoint :(

I've made this clear to help you understand my situation much easier.

What I need to start building are simple games, like memory games, trivias, slots or something like that, where the play time is short and the result is instant, you don't want the public to get bored waiting for their turn.

I hope someone in a similar position can chime in and let me know if that's possible and what are the pros-cons of choosing Construct instead of sticking to HTML5 only

NOTE: All games must be able to be played on touchscreen, I can use PC for larger tvs or ipads for the times I don't have the floor space to get a larger display with a floor stand

    thank y'all !

  • Construct is perfectly capable of doing what you need. I’ve built dozens of trivia, wheel, guessing, game-show type games and honestly wouldn’t have been able to do it this quickly with anything else. Literally half of my job is building games like that. This is all commercial work which I can’t share, but there are plenty of templates if you look around.

So yeah, it’s great for this purpose. Just take some time to learn the basics first, or you’ll get frustrated!

  • Try Construct 3

  • Thanks for taking the time to reply !

Will look into it more, I guess that ir requires me to buy at least the Small Business license, but it's worth it if I can start creating gams on my own

I don't need anything overly complicated, to create simple stuff and be able to brand it according to my customer's needs on demand is a great option, once I start to learn the ropes I can probabli do more.

Any resources you'd like to suggest outside this community?

    Thanks again!
