I've cleaned up the main character. Made some adjustments to the legs and colors. Also I got rid of the backpack because you will not be able to carry a lot of items with you.

For the last couple of weeks I've spend a lot of time on the storyline and rewrote a bunch. Connected events and killed some darlings. Also I've started a game design document, an attempt to some organisation

Hi, I enjoy visiting your Devlog.. The plants are beautiful, very realistic, yet have your style.. if that makes sense..

Felix is looking good, I've been looking at his poses for my own work

    I like it..

Final version of the walk cycle. This time I didn't animate the cycle on one position but actually moved the character in space while doing the steps. Works out way better, I'm happy with it now (finally).

    I'm here again ..

really impressed with his walk cycle, looks very natural...

you should write a tutorial.. I think its so difficult to get it just right..

  • robin Sommer, have you left the hair without animation by some reason?

  • unclejunkie

His short hair wouldn't move in a walk animation?

  • Wow, I'm very impressed! Your art style is fantastic!

  • mineet, Haha always welcome ;) It took a lot of versions and work to get it the way it is now but maybe if I've got the time I'll try to make a tutorial.

, It was on purpose but I'm thinking about animating it. In past versions the hair was animated but it had to move a lot before you could see it in the game.

sqiddster, Thank you so much :)

  • robin Sommer

    that be good... :)thanks

  • Sorry to say that, but yout walking cycle looks unnatural. It has visible glitches, and looks like robot walk - it's especially visible in the way that arm moves. Although, character itself looks great. What kind of sofware do you use for animation?

  • Working on that ;)

  • I thought the animation was good; I know how difficult it is and compared to a lot of games.. I think you have captured it well.. it looks natural and def not robotic ..

I'm trying to do the animation on mine right now and its so hard..I may be being bias because of this but if I had done that walk cycle I'd be dancing right now !!!!
