Muco Blast - retro shooter

Hello everyone

A few months ago I discovered Construct 2, since then I started to create a game like Pang. I always liked those kind of games and with few steps I did the first sketch of collision of objects:

After that I introduced the player with rotating weapons so he could cover a wide range of shooting:

Later I introduced power ups, different layers and I designed game graphics even though I'm not a designer (despite not being very good graphics, I have to admit I had a hard time), and this is the result:

Currently I only made ??horde mode, but I want to introducide final bosses and different levels like Gunstar Heroes or Turrican.

Any comment or suggestion will be appreciated

Nice work! The game idea is an interesting one, and despite what you've said, I think your graphics are pretty good! Perhaps they could use a little more polish to finish them, but they're certainly off to a good start!

Good luck with the rest of the project. I look forward to seeing its progression.

Edit: Could be worth adding a short tutorial at the start, just to let the player know how things work and what power-ups are available etc. Also you could add a leaderboard at the end. It's nice for player to see how well they've done, and it encourage users to keep playing (gotta beat that top score)!

I added a little explanation about the different kind of items in the game in the new section 'How to play'

And another new section called 'Ranking' did it with ajax and php, thanks to this great tutorial:
