  • Cool that you got something published! That's always awesome.

    A potential bug:

Did you not implement collision for the asteroids and the ship or is it a really small hit box? I never seemed to die.

    And a couple quick questions:

How was the experience of publishing to the Chrome Web Store? Finally, how did you make that cool signature picture you got that shows how many times your game has been played. That's pretty sweet.

  • Hi Kodeandgame

Thanks for your kind words about Meteor Blast!..

    Collisions..

The collisions are indeed present, But I have also noticed it is sometimes difficult to hit the smaller rocks with your laser, although I can crash into them easily enough!!, I will probably address this in an update by increasing the collision box around the smaller objects.

    Chrome Web Store..

Its pretty easy to upload stuff there, you have to pay $5 for a developer licence, but thats all, theres no approval process, once you publish something, its live! The good thing about it is when you upload an update, users who have installed the game into Chrome get the update straight away, they dont need to re-download or re add it to Chrome!

The banner is one Scirra provide once you publish a game in the arcade (think you have to have a certain number of points before you can use it)

Hope that answers your questions, and let me know if you want to know anything else.

    cheers

  • Congrats, The web store is a great option. will have to check it out when I get back from walking my dogs, from what I see it does so remind me of the classic! great job <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Welcome to chrome web store!

  • Thanks guys! :)

  • Like it. Has the feel of the original with a few twists. Other than expecting the rocks to break into 2x of the next smaller piece and the sound not staying muted between rounds, it's great!
