• Hello every body,

first of all - sorry for my poor english. Some days ago I found this wonderfull product and bought a early adaptor lisence.

At the moment I am a little busy with some other things, but this will change...

...This weekend I played arround a little bit with the Engine and I was very surpriced how easy it works!

So, here is my first little "testgame"

Bombing the green Aliens all over the Island^^

Its quite simple, just click on the cannon, drag the following button somewhere and release it... Its a little bit like an angry birds clone or something like that^^

    PLEASE GIVE ME FEEDBACK:

    about...

    1. the performance on your system and browser

    2. look and feel of the gameplay

    3. bugs

not about the graphics, I am still looking for a good pixel artist^^

    Have fun and enjoy it

    Stefan

  • Hi Stefan,

Cool little game, i did enjoy it thank you.

It ran perfectly on my system but i can see your reason for concern - what i am planning on doing for my creation is including a "FPS" counter. That way you will be able to get raw data instead of subjective.

As for the gameplay - the cannon shoots well, but for your style of game i would personally rather drag the mouse in the opposite direction for power, (shooting the cannon feels like shooting a sling shot).

Towards the end i was getting a little impatient with waiting for the bombs to explode - they could possibly be on a quicker timer.

Even with starter graphics you've made it look nice. Well done.

  • Looks great, good job! Very polished/professional look.

  • Well... it's not working for me.

The bomb launcher always look up, and I couldn't do anything.

And the Alien are falling by themself with the physics...

    With Chrome 16.0.912.75 m

  • guicole, you have to click and drag the cannon to launch a bomb.

the game runs smooth here (chrome) and the mouse its cool, but i have to say that put links under the screen its bad because of the mouse selection function.

a time choose for the bomb would be great too and the boat moving to simulate waves could break the static feel of the background.

if you dont want to make a tutorial (something that i hate too) you should put a mark or something behind the cannon, like, "pull" or "click and drag", for people figure out faster what they have to do for launch the bomb.

great job, i hope i'v helped

  • I checked this with Firefox 5.0 and Internet Explorer 9 on a Windows 7 system (CPU 3GHz Core2Due and RAM 4 GB). I didn't notice any performance issues.

The graphics are really cool and appealing . Also the game play is very interesting. The concept is bit like angry birds, but personally I prefer the "look and feel" of this game .

I really enjoyed the application of physics behavior, mini map in the top right corner, bounce back from wall and the time bomb concept used in this game .

Great if you can improve this to support touch screens also. Good Luck!

  • Great work! Love the little minimap.

The text selecting is a bug with having WebGL enabled, it should be fixed in the next build.
