  • Hello all, I've just signed up to the forum and started using Construct 2... and a very impressive piece of software it seems to be. <img src="smileys/smiley32.gif" border="0" align="middle">

I'm one half of a small hobby game making duo collectively known as Rotary Gaming (http://www.rotarygaming.co.uk/) and we've been playing with the 3DRad game engine for a little over a year now.

We've just started to use Construct 2 - the plan being to make 2d versions of our 3d games as a marketing tool.

The first little demo we've made is a promotional piece for the video production company I do 'proper' (read - paid) work for. Again - a little test to get to know the software and be used as promotion.

Please take a look and let me know what you think. *EDIT* - the link would have helped here wouldn't it? Now included below...

    Thanks.

  • Try Construct 3

  • The concept is kind of cool - and the graphics are nice

a few things I found (some are personal opinion):

    1) The platforms aren't aligned with the objects themselves - e.g. the platform for the bench is wider than the actual bench - which means I'm floating in mid air once I get to the right side of the platform.

    2) The origin for the bird is at the tail rather than the legs, which makes the left-right motion change look strange.

    3) I can't walk in front of the two black boxes.

    4) The movement of the fox is too limited

    5) There should be some sort of animation on the fox when he catches/eats the bird

  • Thanks for the feedback tnewhook, much appreciated.

I believe the floating in the air next to platforms bit is probably due to me using just a single "box" around the pheasant for it's collision detection rather than the pheasant itself - so yes, it's perfectly possible to hover in mid air at the moment. It's something I should sort.

Apart from the not being able to get in front of the black boxes (which is a concern) I agree with your other feedback too. If 'work' will allow I will continue to improve this - while working in free time on personal game projects.

    Thanks.
