A set of 30 Second Music Loops to add Emotion to your game!
  • I've been itching to participate in the Ludum Dare for a while now, and finally I was able to submit - ESCAPE BASE 10.

This definitely reminded me that graphics and SFX/Music aren't my strong points, but it was fun to make a complete game in less than 20 hours.

    Game description:

The facility is collapsing! Escape base 10 blowing your way through locked doors and narrowly missing the 10 second lock-down in each room!

    WASD/Arrows - Move

    Mouse - Aim

    Left click - Shoot

Right click/F key - Throw gun

    R key - Restart

Play the game and download the source files from here: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-27/?action=preview&uid=5475

  • Jayjay Congrats and win stuff!!! It is fun and challenging!

  • damainman Thanks! I'm hoping to extend it after the competition <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

This a pretty fun little game, nice job. The timer really makes the accomplishment on each level worth it. <img src="smileys/smiley32.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

But I think having more hardcore music will make the game more enjoyable, and get people more in the vibe of having that rush feeling to finish each mission. A soundtrack that kinda tells you that you only have 10 seconds to do this or die. The soundtracks not bad but it gives me an eerie feeling like I'm exploring a cave which is totally normal but there's a time limit, so I feel I gotta think a bit faster in the later levels to pass it, so having some awe-inspiring music always makes things more exciting especially with time sensitive games.

  • retrodude thanks for the feedback! I suck at making music <img src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> so I'll definitely find some better songs if I make a full version later on <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
