BulletPoint - Live in Arcade Updated*

  • Hey Guys,

    I just wanted to share the game I am working on. It's called bulletpoint, its a shooter with rpg elements. You, your guns, and your skills can all level up. Waves of enemies will spawn and you have to kill them.

    are you going to have full stages or is it going to be a 'beat the wave' of enemies style game?

  • Thanks, the gameplay will be multiple levels of 'beat the wave' of enemies. Each level will have a different design and a different boss. In between levels I plan on showing story parts.

    Actually I've been following your progress since the beginning and I'm glad you keep working on it. I remember when you couldn't buy weapons. Now you added this feature plus the title screen and it seems really cool. I guess you made the graphics yourself too.

    Ya almost everything about this game I made, from the music to the graphics. The only thing that isn't mine is the explosion, that is from the beginning tutorial. Honestly, I'm having a harder time with the animations than the logic of the game <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle" />. So any tips on animating sprites would be appreciated. I'm just glad people are checking this game out. I will continue on with development, I still have a lot planned for this game.

  • So after reviewing the feedback I got for the demo, Their are key problem areas I fixed with this recent update.

    1st - I kept being asked how to equip the flamethrower.

    So I added an additional icon to the hud that explains all the controls. Also, after purchasing the flamethrower the text in the shop explains how to equip it.

    2nd - I don't want to click on the shop icon, while in the middle of the action.

    So, I made "e" a hotkey, that will bring up the shop menu.

    3rd - I felt the gameplay could be tweaked a bit.

    So, I lowered the enemies life and increased their rate of fire, I lowered the players initial life and I also increased the boss's damage, to make him a little more challenging.
