Some thoughts after trying the game.
why a shoot button? there is no skill of meaning invold in giving the palyer controll over it. just let shoot automatically. The only thing the player does is evade and giving him/her some controles that give no benefit at all is just distracting.
i would like to see some sort of shild- that charges with your firepower and gives you the ability to survive one hit. that strenghtens the meaning of firepower because richt now it has no real meaning if i get hit the game is over.
So if i get hit - firepower is reduced to zero but im still alive. and i need to charge it at least back to 50% to survive another hit.
maybe an small animation or effect when the pattern changes would help. just as a hint to the player that it changes not how.
when reaching a checkpoint give me a second before starting the game again. because the strong wihte blink is confusing. it took me some secondes to get what was happening and i died the same instant.
i really like the game so fare and there is a lot of possibilities for evolving it further. hope you continue with your work.
