I used Construct 2 to make this microgame:
for the January challenge of One Game A Month.
I used the ZX Spectrum's resolution and palette and laid the game out to be a tribute to Stephen Crow's Wizard's Lair and Locomalito's L'Abbaye des Morts and did everything in a week or so.
I had a lot of fun while working on the game and I hope you guys and gals will enjoy it, even if it's very short. =)
Nice game quite fun. Think you nailed the homage to wizard's lair. Are you doing another game in this same style for February 1GAM? or something else?
Thank you very much for playing, I'm glad you liked the game and extra-glad to receive feedback from a great dev like you. =)
I'd like to do a totally different game for February 1GAM, but I'm still in the planning stages and I'm afraid the idea I had could be well out of my reach. But I'll try. =)
Just a quick note to let you guys and gals know that Father Jonah Saves the Day can now be played on Game Jolt, too. =)
Another quick update... they talked about the game on IndieGames.com! I can't believe it! =)
simple and fun...like games used to be, all the time.
i saved the day with one life left...well done.
