Please let me know what u guys think?
"Characters are placeholders"
Except fort title screen.
Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.
Check it out and let me know what u guys think.
Feedback is highly appreciated.
Very nice and fun! What platforms are you planning to release on?
Glad u like it IndieKiwi
Release will be on:
Android "Google Play" (works great on touch devices)
New Alpha Footage.
You say it works great on touch devices, but on my Samsung Note 12.2 it shows a black box over the middle of the screen and nothing happens when tapping.
(Are u using the chrome browser on your Samsung Note 12.2?)
On my Galaxy S5 its running great in chrome browser.
Also on my transformer tab its all good.
Its great to get your feedback.
SideNote: This game will become a cocoonjs Android Native app when completed.
This is on chrome. 2nd time it was all dark and when I could tap it instantly showed retry. So something isn't right.
Do u mean second mission?
Or second time as in reloading the whole game.
Im trying to figure out how to reproduce what u are experiencing.
To exclude: As shown in the gameplay video, when the curtains open there is a slight fade in from pitchblack to about 70%. On the second level that goes only to 80%, meaning second level is darker and a mine field, so if stepped on a mine it is instantly retry.
Thank u for replying.
Ok, being in portrait mode seems to really confuse it and that mission briefing is quite small. Also it is really dark for a tablet. But ignoring that on the third try it actually behaved properly And I was able to move the guy and so on.
Have you locked the orientation to landscape?
Thats it, i haven't locked the orientation yet.
Glad that u found the source so fast.
I'l also add a brightness option to the game, thus making it more "Mobile screen friendly".
Galaxy S5 just has an insane brightness
Other than that I would make the instructions clearer, preferably with a simple illustration (say, of your little guy running through the waypoints) and a different color scheme - dark yellow on dark green is hard to read.
Im still fiddling around with color scheme's and so forth.
Illustrations are indeed key.
Players of this game should not make unnecessary effort to understand what needs to be done.
It will take some time, but i'l get it there.
Exciting news as the Kickstarter for Oh Crab! has gone live.
