White box on sprites

Over 2700 files with all the colour combinations from a 15 colours palette!
  • im thinking on making a sonic and the black knight game but every sprite has a white box around it....i tried saving it as a jpeg, a gif, png, and bitmap.plz help <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    It's called the alpha channel.

    When an empty part of the image is transparent.

    The way to do this depends on your graphics editor.
