Help Santa show everyone how strong he is by lifting heavy weights!
  • Hi, i want create a catapult with weight like this

    <img src="http://i49.tinypic.com/687es4.png" border="0" />

    I put an object in a point and when I jump with another object on the catapult the first object get a boost. How can i do this?

  • you could try it with a limited revolute joint.

    simply ad physics behaviour to your catapult and stick it to the green arrow. then add some degrees.

    i dont know if this is gonna work .. u gotta try it.

  • The easiest (and most processor-intensive) solution would be to add physics behavior. (Assuming c2 has physics, I don't remember if it does)

    Alternatively, just add upwards force to the left object equivalent to the downward force of the right object when the right object lands.

  • Try Construct 3

  • the catapult has already the physics behavior and a revolute joint, and it move when i jump on it with my 3 objects. But if i've already a object on it and jump with another one, I want the first receives a force. I tried with force and impulse, but doesn't work very well.

    I want this, please help.

  • mh i guess the impulse of the second object falling on the upwards part of the catapult is too weak. have you played around with Friction and Density? i would either try to give it some sort of a mass. or you could make a force or an impulse to the catapult in direction of the first object as soon as the second object is on collision with the catapult.

    could you provide a LIVE Demo or a capx?

  • Thanks for reply, but i solved this. The problem was the platform behavior, in fact with physics behavior only, i could do what i wanted.

  • GAMEGAMEGAME Could you maybe post the working capx of this? I have been trying to figure out how to do this correctly. :)

  • There is on forum, try to search. I've it but now my connection is too slow. If you don't find it, contact me by pm and I send it to you.

    However is easy. Use physic behavior for catapult, green arrow (i don't know real name in english) and the objects. Set a revolute joint to arrow for catapult and try to put your object on it! I use physic for move my objects, but, depends on your game, you can use drag&drop to move them.
