Will the webstorage plugin save data for apps as well?
Well, yes, because anything made in C2 is js using html5 canvas. But if you asking if save data will work in a wrapper like cocoon etc, then I don't know, someone else must explain. It does work in browsers and node-webkit for sure.
I exported a game to Android with Crosswalk and the Webstorage works perfectly.
It should work on all platforms. I think the name misleads people, perhaps it should have been called "Local storage".

Ashley yes if it is called local storage, it may be simpler to understand. I think the name leads many beginners like me to think of Webstorage as storage on the web
