  • Hi Guys,

First post and thread. I have spent a bit of time looking through the forums but haven't seen anything similar, to be honest I am not certain how to accurately describe the problem but here goes.

I made up some graphics for a spaceship (several) bullets... etc. For a vertical shooter. All of the images point upwards vertically. When a sprite is imported there are resize points around the outside of the image. but there is a central line that seems to determine the way construct handles movement etc... Why is it horizontal and not vertical by default. And how do I change this?

Thanks in advance for your help and sorry for the noobish question :-)

  • The object angle is 0 by default, which is to the right. You need to rotate the image in the image editor.

    Example Screenshot:

  • Thanks for your reply!

I had noticed I could rotate the image to that line (which I know thankfully know is the object angle. But.... if I am making a vertical scroller shooter how do I alter the object angle?

Actually I have figured it out simply rotating the object out of the animation editor seems to do the trick!

  • yeah make the images face to the right and then theyll face the origin line when imported.
