[Solved] Start a animation on a object

Greetings all!

I`m working on a remake of Alex The Kid In The Miracleworld.

Re-texturing everything in Photoshop. I Have managed to animate the object the way I want it.

But now I`m wondering how I make the animation start when the player hit the object. Here is the event on the object so far:

You need to make sure the object that has an animation actually has an animation set up. Also, why the loop and time scale? That will speed things up like crazy! <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle">

The animation starts when I hit the play button, so that works :)

Yeah, I have the time scale for the speed and the loop for the stop.

But I want it to start when Alex hit the star. Is there a way to do that?

Still noone that know if this is possible? :)

Change "start animation from current frame" to

play animation "fall down"

or which ever one you want it to trigger on contact.

Thanks for posting the CAPX, but I still can not see what you're trying to sort out. How's your English? I'm happy to help out via a remote share and Skype chat if that'd help out? That way you can see what you need to do and explain what I need to do :)

justifun: I can`t see "fall down" anywhere. Using the latest version.

AnD4D: My English is pretty good, but I dont use Skype :) I`m more comfortabel on forums, if that is ok.

What I want to do: When the player hits the object, the "explosion" animation which I have created, starts. Like so:

Not a problem. This should get you started. I notice you're not using alphas, or multiple animations. I added the break down animation to the question mark animation. I haven't done the explode animation as in the video, as that's pretty advanced in terms of what I've done in the attached.
