I want to create a particle object that emits in its local space and is not affected by moving around.
Like a Fire that does not leave a trail when moving.
Hope this is possible.
Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.
You need to link the particle emitter to a stationary sprite, not a moving one. If you need to create a 1x1 transparent sprite as the locator and fix it to the background.
I'm not sure it would work. It's supposed to work that way : same for the bullet behavior for example. If you move your character while firing, your bullet won't follow the player unless you create some events to do so.
With the particle object, you can't access to the single particles properties, so you can't change their position to achieve this.
What do you mean by link the emitter to a stationary sprite?
The emitter is moving so I cant do that.
I want to achieve that the particles simulate in its own space relative to the emitter like a Fire animation sprite but with particles.
Or do I misunderstand sth. you explained?
Sorry if I am misunderstanding. I thought this is what you were looking for.
He wants this : [attachment=0:1c0wrta4][/attachment:1c0wrta4]
And I'm pretty sure this isn't possible with the particle behavior since you can't access to the X or Y (or any other property) property of the individual particles.
Yes thats exactly the behaviour I want!
It would be really cool if this would be possible with particles... Sure it's a cool solution but built in would be a good thing.
But thank you for your good idea Coin-coin le Canapin!
