Hello! I am making a game where the sole goal is to go as far as you can, collecting as much money as you can, while you avoid obstacles along your path. Like classic Nintendo Entertainment System games, I want only the highscores saved, along with the last three attempt's scores. Is this possible? I also want settings (set via global variables) saved as well.
Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.
I know that save functions exist, but I only want to save certain parts of the game.
Perhaps you misunderstand - webstorage saves specific variables, and is a separate mechanism to the system 'save' and 'load' actions.
Alright. Will webstorage work for projects that are converted to desktop applications? Will clearing the cache delete the save data? <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
If I am not mistaken, Node webkit export doesn't utilize your browser, so erasing your browser cache won't change anything.
There is also the no save behaviour, but that probably doesn't help in your case. Just wanted to mention that there is another mechanism to prevent saving of specific elements.
