Hello,
I downloaded the free version to try it out.
I got a game built and asked my boss to buy a licence, which he did.
Now when i try to upgrade by loading licence file, it is asking me for a c2license.txt file.
Where i that file? How do I get it?
That's the file your boss should have received when purchasing - either that or a redeem code to allow you to claim the license yourself. You should take it up with your boss since they purchased for you. For more purchasing help contact us at .
You could login with the same account that bought the license, and go to:
https://www.scirra.com/store/downloads
From there, you can download the license file.

I downloaded the bundle. I tried to upgrade with the license file in the bundle, but I got an error message. see attachment
What bundle are you referring to?
The c2license.txt file should be placed in the installation directory, for instance, and that's it. You have a fully licensed copy.
There is no 'upgrading' needed.
Well, when my boss bought the license, He registered with my email address.
So I got the email from Scirra.com: In the email I got the personal license key
I copied it to the installation/c2license.txt. I launched C2, I got the error above.
You may just be unlucky.
Have you tried redeeming it from the store or just re-downloading it from the email?
If it still doesn't work, then email support as Ashley has suggested.
You can still access a copy of your license through the website, here : https://www.scirra.com/store/downloads
