Knock back like in Castlevania / Ninja Gaiden etc.

  • Hey there,

    I'm a beginner as far as Construct 2 is concerned. My first project is ought to be a platformer in the same spirit such as Castlevania, and I'm having a few difficulties with some of the mechanics, especially the knock back of the character.

    What I want is the following:

    When the player touches an enemy, I want the player to change his sprite into a "Hit"-Animation, be knocked back ("back" depending on the direction the player is facing) in a 45 degree upward direction and afterwards be invincible for ~1.5 sec while flashing. Also, I want the movement to be disabled while the player is being knocked back. Also, I'd like to be sure that the player cannot get stuck in walls while being knocked back.

    When answering, please assume that I've only read the beginner's guide here on the page. I hope that someone can help me out, I'd really appreciate it!
