input movement creates move

If someone could direct me on a forum post that I just cant word right, my apologies but im looking to have the user input commands to make the game character perform a move. Like street fighter, down diagonal forward (fireball), or forward down diagonal (dragon punch).

I was just trying to make this for a platform character. any advice would be fantastic.

Do you mean like a combo move? Like when I press asd in a certain sequence, it performs an action? As of now, I think that the only way to do this would be some sort of condition. See the manual for more help on conditions.
