How do I make glass shatter

Hello,

I am new on this forum and I want to say that so far this engine helped me a lot. I want to ask you, how do I make a glass shatter effect? Basically I have a piece of glass and I want to shatter in contact with my character. Is there any plugin or something?

You can use physics. See my example below

alextro thank you for your time, but isn't there a more fps efficient sollution?I want to break the glass in more pieces, like 4-5 and i can't assemble the glass from 5 pieces everytime(I intend to have like 3-4 glasses at any time on the layer)

Does the shape need to be accurate? Basically it's just spawning the pieces & make them rotate & collide.

A particle whould do the trick i guess. Just make a particle that looks like a glass piece and change its attribute to one-shot and rate to like 5 if thats how many pieces you want.
