  • There is a problem for me about exporting the CocoonJS. <img src="smileys/smiley5.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

When I ran the zip file which have automatically created by CocoonJS Cloud Compiling, I have got the following error.

    It is shown that

"Could not find anything to be executed. If you are using a ZIP file, please, verify that the main HTML or JS file is in the root of the ZIP file (not inside any folder). If you are using a folder path directly, please, check that the main HTML or JS file is stored inside of it."

I don't understand the meaning. Is there any codes need to be added?

(I just run the zip by using the cocoonjs app in iphone4s)

    I hope I can get some helps here, thanks a lot ! <img src="smileys/smiley12.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

Normally when you export a game to cocoonjs using construct2 you get a zip or rar file. Inside that rar/zip file you have a jscript, something like c2runtime.js.

    Maybe its not finding that?

If not then you have to sign your compiled sdk file. There should be guides on it somewhere on the forums or on the cocoonjs website.

I just reread your post. After the game is compiled from the cloud compiling system, then what you do is test to see if it works is to upload the compiled file to dropbox, then download the compiled apk file from your dropbox ON YOUR IPHONES web browser.

You cant run the compiled file with cocoonjs since its the apk file, however you can download it on your phone then run it like a regular app.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Yes, I have got the c2runtime.js inside the zip

I will try again later, I hope it will be okay

    Thanks retrodude <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Unfortunately, the problem still here when I have tried.

It is also shown the black screen and this error again : <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

"Could not find anything to be executed. If you are using a ZIP file, please, verify that the main HTML or JS file is in the root of the ZIP file (not inside any folder). If you are using a folder path directly, please, check that the main HTML or JS file is stored inside of it."

Does anyone can share the solution of this issue, thanks <img src="smileys/smiley12.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Louisjoe, are you attempting to run the file that you downloaded from the Ludei online cloud compiling service directly in the CocoonJS launcher? That launcher is just for testing ZIP files exported by Construct.

If you've already compiled the project online and got an API file, that is what is submitted to Apple for the App Store.

If you're exporting from Construct, before you ever touch the Ludei cloud compiler, you will get a ZIP file that is loaded up in the CJS launcher.

Or, an easier way to tell what's going on: what files are inside your ZIP file?

Can you tell us how your testing your compiled app file?

  • louisjoe The CocoonJS launcher is only for the zip exported from C2. The zip from the cloud compiler is different and contains the files needed for the final publishing stage.

If you've used the cloud compiler, the process is easy for Android but a bit more difficult for iPhone.

Android is easy because you can just unzip the download from CocoonJS and install the .apk file straight onto your device.

iPhone is much more difficult. You need to compile the x-code stuff in x-code on a mac and you need a developer license. Ludei can't really automate this stuff due to Apple's developer restrictions. I haven't gone through the iPhone process yet, so someone else may be able to expand on it a bit more.

If you want to just run your game on your iPhone, don't use the cloud compiler. Just run the zip that C2 exports in the cocoon launcher.

  • THANKS ALL GeometriX, retrodude, Nathan !!!

    It's working well now XDDD

The final solution is just to get the zip file which exported from c2 and put it into the cocoon app in iphone.

    Finally it runs prefectly well !<img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

It is not necessary to compile another zip file from cocoon cloud, if I just want to test the app in cocoonjs. <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

Now I understand the difference between zip from c2 and zip from cocoon cloud compiler.<img src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

Thanks for your detailed explanation =D
