How do I expand my layout upward

here is the file, the layer is Level4

With parallax of 0,0 that means the layer doesn't scroll, so all of your elements need to be back up at the top, like every other layout. You don't move them in this case.

i really used parallax for the UI, should i have just pinned that to the player? instead of using parallax?

well i moved it all back up to the corner...and it works but i lost the vertical game play....not sure the best way to do UI

so that it follows the player...i wish there was a standard layer that was for UI so that you dont have to do tricks to get it to work...

I don't follow. I moved your Level 4 UI elements up and the game seems fine. What isn't working?

Hey Blackhornet, you are right, thanks for the help, I thought I had done this and it didnt work.

So why does it work when the UI layer is not over the area where the player is?

From the manual:

Parallax

Change the rate at which the layer scrolls in the horizontal and vertical directions. A parallax rate of 100, 100 means ordinary scrolling, 0, 0 means it will never scroll (useful for UIs), 50, 50 means scrolling half as fast, etc. Also useful for multi-layer parallaxing backgrounds.

well i guess what i dont get it the fact that the Layer that the UI is in is no where near where the other layers are at.....
