• How do I make an endless runner with predefined parts of level ?

    I want to make an endless runner that would generate random platforms/enemies and also load portions of levels/layout that were created before (predefined parts of level)...

    How can I do that ?

  • It's one of the template levels if you go to New > Template: Auto Runner.

  • Well , making a game is not an easy task , and I don't think you might find a tutorial that might suit your needs at 100% , you'll need to scavenge for info around the tutorials sections ;

    Also, as said above , have a look to the template

    Thanks, I've seen the template (and other tutorials) before posting this topic, but I haven't found anything about predefined parts of level

  • tgeorgemihai ive been planning to do something like this,

    and im thinking about 2 ways to do it,

    via saving objectdata to json and loading them in like buildingblock at different positions, like a looping background

    (saving part of a level as a buildingblock)

    (using c2 saving or plugin spritebank/instancebank

    using arraydata from plugin Tmx importer, make buildingblocks in Tiled, and then generate the array from the different arraydata buildingblocks, then generate the tiles

    Thanks, I will try it.

    Can you give me an example or a tutorial ?

  • An easy to do it would be to load your events with the score or time elapsed as a conditional.
