How do I use DragonBones with Construct 2?

DragonBones (http://dragonbones.effecthub.com/) is an Open Source 2D skeleton animation solution for Flash. Very useful to make complex animations on Flash Pro, and them export them to Citrus/Starling, HTML5 and COCOS.

How do I use it in a Construct 2 project? Is it possible?

You or someone else would have to create a plugin between the two.

Also, have you looked into Spriter at all? If you get Spriter you don't have to go through the work of creating a plugin because one already exists between it and Construct 2, which is really handy.

Unfortunately I dont have the skills to make that plugin...

About Spriter, it looks pretty good, but it is still in development... And I find Flash Pro+DragonBones a more robust tool, with more features. It would be great to have that plugin!

Anyway, Spriter can be a good option until a DragonBones plugin is done (if it happens...). I will give it a try.

It can export JSON and XML so maybe if you have all your images inside your project and read only the position data either of those files. You would probably need to parse the files and make your own animation setup to position images inside C2 however.

I would like to see other export options on Spriter as well. It would provide a bit more control over the animations inside C2.

I know its a little bit late, but you can always use the png export tool inside dragon bones, then you can have the files ready to import them in construct 2; dragon bones can even make the sprite sheet for you. Best Regards.
