How do I custom movement with simulate

Hi guys,

I was making a control system with touch. I put my character 8direction. I am using simulate commands and they just turn my character how can i make him move ?

I made movement by pressing another key but this time it just goes to right. I cannot change its direction with simulate movement 8direction things. What can i do ?

Are you using custom movement or 8 direction..

How are your events for simulate setup?

on collision is only triggered once.. (see the green arrow)

If you change it to is overlapping it should work..

I'm not sure this is the best way to get onscreen-control, but you could get it to work that way..

There are multiple touchstick/thumbstick/virtual joystick examples on the forum and tutorials, including my own, but actually I think people with touchscreens would rather swipe and tap..
