So I bought a template and I was substituting the assets. I changed a sprite and its animations. I wanted to clone that sprite to substitute other identical sprites (but with different names) without having to change all the frames and animations every time for each one. If I cancel those sprites on the project panel, all the events and actions associated are also canceled. If I cancel the sprites on the layout, I can't change the names.

You can select all events on the event sheet (Crtl-A), then press R and replace the old sprite with the new sprite. After that, delete the old sprite.
Make sure that the new sprite has the same instance variables, behaviors, effects, is added to the same families/containers as the old sprite.
