There was a post i can't find now that showed a picture of how the x and y axis work in construct anyone know where that is... or can show me again...
I don't know of the image you're referring to. If it helps the origin is the top left of the layout and x increases to the right and y increases down. Basically it's vertically flipped from what's used in math books.

Anything computer related has the 0,0 position in the top-left. Y increases when moving down, and X increases when moving right
