In C2, Start Page, layouts and event sheets are shown in colored tabs, but it is easy to get confused if the names are similar.

My suggestion is a icon to Start Page tab, a icon to layout tabs and a icon to event sheet tabs. I think this manner it is easier to identify each one and to work.

I agree the tabs can get overwhelming sometimes when there are a lot open but having a proper naming structure in place helps a lot. For example Level1 for the layout and Level1 ES for the event sheet. Then they are easy to identify which is which at a glance.

I also use this method to I don't get confused, but I believe some icons can to help.
