I am writing a C2 tutorial in C2 (inception!)
I don't want to mess up here, do people need to purchase a licence before they get any of the game assets provided by scirra?
I got a big .rar file, but that was after I bought the software :)
Cheers
I'm pretty sure you can get all the assets from under the "Bundled Assets" area on the C2 site for free, even if you don't buy a license.
Here's the sprite packs here: scirra.com/construct2/sprite-packs
edit: actually it looks like the paid edition comes with more assets (ie you can get some for free, but if you want em all you've gotta buy the paid edition)
Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.
Thanks Yanen :)
The Audio works for me, I just click the file and save as.
But I can't seem to figure out the Sprite Bundles.. The Download Link is just Construct2..
Hmm, you mean asset-bundle.zip with size 113MB, Schoening?
This is a good question because it also matters to me.
Because like you say there a free version of asset-bundle.zip and full version.
I hope clear answer for this :)
Hm.. I really can't seem to find the Bundle anywhere but with the Link that I got from my Licence
The bundle you get with the free edition you can use in tutorials and examples.
The bundle you get when you purchase a license should not be shared with anyone who doesn't have a license.
Ofc not Ashley :)
I just want to know where the Free one is Located so I can tell people in my Tutorial ! xD
!!Aaaaaughibbrgubugbugrguburgle!!
I can't find it anywhere either! I don't want to sound rude, but the site's been getting really hard to find stuff in these days what with all the updates. A lot more advertising for the paid version than there is functionality...
http://www.scirra.com/construct2/sprite-packs
Yeah I can see that page, But the only download I see is the Construct2 download on the end of the page
He's right; that page only has stuff about the packs that come with the license bundle.

I recall getting the packs from that very page, might be remembering wrong though. In any case, it seems the packs currently are hard, if not impossible (?), to find without a direct link to the pack.
Yeah.
Well great that we have cleared that up :p
I don't know if anyone is still having trouble finding the assets but after I spent a while looking for them myself I found out on the contact us page that if you go to the "your store purchases" page, the get assets button is next to your license.
