I can replicate this in a fairly simple project!
Just a heads up to others in this thread - I've managed to fix a memory leak bug in C2 based off Colludium's report (thanks!). It affects all projects using Text objects, and leaks every time you preview. So hopefully this explains everyone else's cases of editor slowdown or crashes after 20mins+ of usage. When r191 is out it will be interesting if everyone can try it out and report if the issue is resolved.
I'm picking this up on the go, and I'm a bit concerned: "small memory leak for every 'Text' object in the project ".
Is this only on Preview or for every project since r149 even once exported??
So , this can resolve mi problem?
Dunno. DL r191 and tell us.
Nope, i have the same problem
i've got win 8.1, non steam version (with steam installed and mostly on),
HQ4860, 8GB ram, ssd, gtx980, never had any problems Oo, even on old laptop (2.0 dualcore, 4gb ram, 4650 radeon) it worked perfectly.
Still getting slowdown with the steam version, I'm not sure if it can be helped. The auto updating by steam is nice, but the performance is bad and scrolling through event sheets gets laggy over time, which I never experienced with the normal Construct 2 version (that experience being a long time ago). Overall the lagginess and probles with file association overshaded the purchase and if I had to chose again, I would choose the non-steam version :/.
