Casino? money? who knows? but the target is the same!
  • Ashley - I might have a few ideas for the future of C3 if it is implementable. (v2)

    My Suggestions for C3:

+Behaviors can be made using the event sheet but still save the option to make a behavior using javascript.

+C3 image editor that can make transparent images, aspect ratio resize or scale, gradient and shapes and also multiple images can be placed inside the image editor to be edited, crop and other useful features of an image editor.

+More coloring and lighting features. ( I don't know much about this , I hope you get the idea.)

That's it for now. The most important for me is that Behaviors can be made also by using events.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Haha

  • It would be good if they give you a licence if you bought one for Construct 2

  • The equivalent of "!important" which naturally leads to be coding practices, but can be a nice quick fix if you want some action to take priority over another.

  • mef1sto may the force be with you cause native will be not...

  • famousgnu6 - There would only be a discount for upgrade to Construct 3 according to Ashley.

  • People have made games in flash, let's forget about native and see where html5 actually goes first

  • It would be good if they give you a licence if you bought one for Construct 2

They have to eat too Based on the quality of their products, I'd say they deserve the money.

    That's the way.

  • glerikud Yeah fair enough, I suppose they are a lot cheaper than other companies, as in you don't require a yearly subscription and you don't have to buy the export modules separately

  • for everyone asking for native export:

There is an open source clone of construct2 that sort of does it already. Given it doesnt have such huge community , features and polish - it's event editor is extremely similar.

    http://compilgames.net/

The stable version compiles to windows, linux, mac (native) and html5 (with support for android and ios via xdk)

In fact they are already testing android native export for the next version:

    https://trello.com/b/qf0lM7k8/gdevelop-roadmap

But the thing needs a lot of work to get as stable and powerful as construct2 and they dont get the funding that scirra has.

And unlike construct they are using other open source engines to do the actual work - sfml(for desktop native and soon android native) and atm adopting cocos2d (to do andoid native and html5 in the future).

Construct2 has it's own engine if I am not mistaken.

  • OP here. This topic is actually out of my control, since 2015 I don't update it. Soon I'll read and reply in this topic.

  • So we can compile in-house with Construct....because Intel pulled the rug out from everyone and is not doing Compiling and Cocoon io is now like, oh it's Construct 2's fault that theres a black screen,..downgrade to 239. No, I have a game on the play store that was made with Construct 2 version 244 and it works.
