Do the Game developers need the "Web Storage" object to create a High Score? Can we also create a High Score with the "Local Storage" object because the Web storage object is not available in the Data & Storage section in the "Insert New Object" window?
This is the picture of my "Insert New Object" window and as you can see only the "Local Storage" object is available:
web storage has been phased out, and replaced by Local Storage.
So, all you need is Local Storage to save a local high score.
if you want a global leader board, then you have to set up your own server database, or use some other service...
