Ashley - Regarding the approval you got to develop for WiiU. Was that approval for Nintendo development in general (i.e. both WiiU and 3DS) and you just focused on WiiU in the announcement, or was it really only for WiiU?

Sorry, what? I ask because the Wii U supports HTML5, but it doesn't support WebGL.

It would be cool if scirra gets on board with PS Vita, that means it'll work on the handheld and Vita TV console (basically to put Ouya to shame).

Do you plan to release super ubie land on nintendo 3ds ? I really would buy it, cause platformer I only play on handhelds

Well there is no point in supporting HTML5 canvas and NOT support WebGL. It just doesn't make sense if the hardware can handle it.

Guess the Wii U can't handle it then. Hope they support it on the PS4, hence why I was asking.

From what i know there wasnt any webgl used in ubie land so it is possible to make a game without relying on it

I tried to avoid using it in my game too, but the effects make everything look so good I couldn't resist hahaha!

My current project Frontier Fantasy doesn't use webgl either so it would nice to have an exporter to the wiiU. But webgl definitely makes games look prettier.

When it comes to WebGL, it has nothing to do with hardware can or can't. It has to do with convienence. Webkit is an Apple public api. Apple did a great job moving into this territory because no one else did. So Apple got to set the WebView standard :( Apple doesn't seem to be in a rush to get WebGL working. But we are at the point where other groups(like Nintendo) will use WebView, but as they didn't define the standard, won't push it. So it's not can or can't, it's won't due to convience and standardization.
