Game development stories & opinions
I was playing this game and although the story could be more fast-paced and enticing, the design is sleek and the code looks like something do-able in construct...can Construct 2 replicate this?
I can't see why not.
Yes, all those games at Kongregate can be made with Construct 2, that's why a lot of the Adobe guys are freaking out.
My feeling on a game like this, assuming it's made using flash is to design a game like this is easier. I find it tedious to design games in construct but I find it tedious to code in flash. I'm not sure if it's because there is no drawing editor in C2 yet or not, but overall the options that flash has design wise is its strongest asset.
I'd suggest looking at Construct Classic, then, as it's easily better than flash, in my eyes.
Well I'd like to make a game similar to this for sure, classic may be the better option but Construct 2 has more doors to open.
Well if you want to make an internet game, Construct Classic does not have that capability. Construct 2 is gaining new features at a tremendous pace, and is easy and fun to 'program'.
Everything is possible given enough time and effort.
My feeling is, every game takes time and effort. But is C2 capable of producing a game like his at this stage?
Yes it is.
Something like that would be very easy to do using construct 2 as you have the movement and bullet behaviors already there. You would just need the animations and a few effects.
I don't see how this would be remotely a problem in C2, even at its current stage. You can even throw some physics in there.
Looks very possible in my eyes..
i didnt see anything that construct 2 not could do.
Judging on this game based on the loading bar and the pixel arts, it's seem developed with flixel or Flash Punk.
and I think C2 can make it, with some efforts =)
Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.
I actually think this would be one of the easier games to develop using Construct 2.
