Ludei CocoonJS 3D / WebGL

I saw that ludei advertises the 3d / webgl capabilities of the latest CocoonJS Framework on their / his website now and was wondering if c2 needs to updated or anything so we can use WebGL effects on mobile?

I tried just exporting in the latest c2 version and compiling it via Ludei's Cloud but the WebGL effects were not available :/

Would be cool if ludei or Ashley could say anything about this cause i'd really love to add some Shaders to my mobile game :)

Ludei haven't released a WebGL-enabled version of CocoonJS yet - it's still a work in progress.

I guess they are working webGL before they release final version so we can get rid of cocoonjs splash screen using premium membership.

We'll add support when CocoonJS publish a public version that supports WebGL.

Same, but with WebGL memory management would be better.

The good thing is that the shaders are going to be supported out of the box !

I've been asking them on twitter what is up. It should be out sooner than later. They said 4 weeks.....like 4 weeks ago.

On June 5 I visited office Ludei in San Francisco. I spoke with lead developer Iker Jamardo. I explained him one more time our problems with dynamic memory management and got explanation why it is not easy but they will try hard <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> . June 5 was Wednesday and he expected to publish v1.4 on June 9 ( today June 26).

He wrote email to Ashley in front of me. We should ask Ashley what this email about.

Ludei it is small startup from Spain. Today whey got 1.5 mill dollars , so they have some money to develop cocoonjs.

I really hope that cocoonjs continues to improve - it is a fantastic wrapper already but it can do with some major improvement.

I wish I had good reason to visit Scirra. They only live two buses away from me haha. I mentioned it a while ago on irc and people suggested amusing things to ask <img src="smileys/smiley16.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
