License Question

I bought the standard license and inserted the license into the Construct 2 folder (D:\Program Files\Construct 2) but when I start Construct 2 it says "free edition test build" in the window heading. I am running r51.

Did I put the license in the correct place?

Is there a way to double check that I have the Standard Edition?

Until you get an official answer, I think you could try to add more than 4 layers. As I read this is one of the many restrictions of the free edition.

I wonder if it's hard-coded to the C: drive?

I put mine in the default installation directory on C: and it picked it up instantly. Have you tried putting it in 'My Documents' as well?

There is an issue with some machines which we are hoping to resolve today, will keep you all posted (apologies)

I just tried adding more then 4 layers but I could not. I guess that means my version of C2 is still in Free Mode.

Any word on when this will be fixed? Will we have to wait until r52 for this to go into effect or will this problem be resolved before r52?

Have you downloaded r51.2? It should ammend a lot of license issues. Please let me know how you get on, and if you continue to have issues please send an email to licensehelpvei@scirra.com with your license file attached in the email.
