  • Hi, i would love to see these improvements in construct2 interface, sorry if those were suggested before.

-Zoom to object: when you select an object, the zoom in should be center in that position.

-Solo layer button(aside the lock buttons):when you click this, all the remaining layers automatically locks(yes you can lock each layer individually but when you have a lot of layers this can be helpful)

-Purge project:(like the most of audio daws like cubase)delete all the objects that are not in use in any event and layout.I can easily lost the track of the unused files if i don't delete them right away.In the end of a project it would be great to clean those unnecessary files to do the final export.

-Snap to edges option:it would make the level designing so much better.

Sorry if any of these are already available and i missed them out for some reason.

  • Ok, maybe i am the only one who thinks this is useful <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Try Construct 3

  • It's funny, I was having an issue with the zoom today. I wanted to zoom into a sprite but couldn't, making it a pain to do what I wanted. So I agree totally with that option. :)

The Purge option would be cool too, sometimes C2 offers me options for objects I've since deleted.

In fact, I agree with all your suggestions, everyone would be cool. Don't know why I just didn't say that in the beginning. :D

  • All those suggestions are good.

  • +1 On this. #1 could be fairly easy or very complex depending on ashley's code. Anyway it's a nice addition. Solo layer button is very helpful too. Best of all for me would be #3 . Purge unused objects. Things can get messy fast if you forget to remove object type every time. One thing is removing from scene other is from project. Maybe delete to remove from scene and shift+delete to remove from project entirelly;

  • Thanks for the feedback, i have a lot of suggestions but those are the most relevant, specially the snap to edges because after some hours i can get frustrated with that.

  • Hm, purging indeed would be very useful, as searching the project files for unused assets is quite an arduous task.

  • +1

Yea it would be a nice feature to have

  • +1 there

One great feature would be the program remembering which tabs where opened and their order.

Also, a Play from Default Layout button would be great.

  • Sheepy: there's already the "F4" keyboard shortcut that does that and you can always also right click the project in the project bar and "Run project" which does execute from the first/default layout.

Thanks man, that will make my life easier for sure. ;]
