500 monsters and creatures images for card games - Set 1
  • Hello

This is a question to the staff of construct.. isn't possible to add a simple tool like in the Construct1 for canvas editor? draw, etc.

If I'm correct, currently you can't draw in C2, u have to do the images in another program, save to a format and then load the image in the game.

would be better if it was like in C1, where u can load images but also you can make some simple draws, paint, etc, with a built-in tool in C2.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • This has been on our todo list for a while. An image editor is quite a lot of work, and we have a long todo list with lots of other requests. In the mean time it's simple to work around using a separate image editor and importing.

  • It's nice to know at last it's on your plans. Ya I know it isn't complicated to import an image but some times we just need to create one simple square to make something work in the game and with an inside img editor would be alot faster, saving time..

but as you said, it's on your plans, so I hope it isn't take too much time and keep the good work! ;)

  • i think it might actually be a better idea to have a button on the image dialogue that allows you to choose a color to generate a solid square. in my years of using construct classic, I only ever used the image editor to create placeholder squares and stick figures. any in-construct image editor could never replace any construct user's image editor of choice (nor should that even be the goal), but the convenience of creating a placeholder image without having to even minimize the construct ide to test an idea was always important for workflow.

  • Agree with that, as I said, a simple square can be very useful for the develop of the game and doing that at the img editor of construct would save some time.. it's also very important for simple tests as u said.

  • Could a plugin work to this end?

  • It was promised (here) to have the picture editor improved, but it's still the same. I don't need full editor, yet

i think it might actually be a better idea to have a button on the image dialogue that allows you to choose a color to generate a solid square.

this'd be very welcome. I hope you could add at least this one feature soon. As lucid and I guess many others, I've been using CC image editor to draw only squares of a different color.
