Idea: London meetup

  • Why did I even check...

Distance from Evansville, Indiana to London, UK is:

    4146.1 Miles

    ( 6672.6 Kilometers / 3600.5 Nautical Miles )

Approximate flight duration time from Evansville to London is:

    8 hrs, 37 mins

  • Paradox, so does that mean we'll see you there then?   <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • that would be epic...lets do a game jam

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I am too far from london, but the idea is interesting itself, also:

"just socialise and maybe have a fun night!"

    I sense some "Physics behaviors" behind that <img src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> haha, I am such a pervert.

Anyway, great idea, and I agree the "Live streaming for the unfortunate?" thingy, even it'll be complex to do so (I should have made the behavior joke with that but.. well..)

EDIT: Remember, don't drive when drunk!

  • Ashley, if you want more people, you could organize a meetup during or around the time of a bigger event, for instance the Eurogamer expo. I'm sure that would bring more British and even some international people.

  • You can always make a giant Skype call. <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • I could come to London. But would be looking for a little more then a pub meetup if i should fly to London ;-)

  • I think the idea of community meetups is a good idea. I would not be able to attend due to distance, but I am sure the people who are able would enjoy the opportunity.

  • I'm an ocean away from London, but I think this is a great idea. Maybe one day we can have a big ConstructCON or something along those lines!

  • I'll also be (very very sadly) too far away from London to attend however I think that sounds like a fun idea.

  • Sounds like an awesome excuse to visit London again! I'd need several months notice though in order to save up for tickets and a place to stay. Maybe you could also plan it during the football season so I can see a game or two while I'm there :)

  • Maybe it would be better to make something like a Construct Game Jam in London.

  • Why not start a C2 meet-up in your local area if you can't make London? It'll be a great way to share knowledge and a great incentive to finnish a game!

    :D

  • Go ahead with it!!!

And show the rest of us (far from UK folks) how to organize local C2-Con for our countries/regions :)

  • That's a good idea but unfortunately I'm from Brazil hhehe
