• Sorry if a misunderstood you, but you apologies so many times to scirra that we all think that there are something wrong with you =X

  • Yeah, I am just trying to be a nice guy and not someone who's into bashing.

Seems to be unusual within internet boards

  • Weishaupt: You are indeed a nice guy and you are conducting a very civil and tactful conversation. Metal_X definitely doesn't speak for me.

  • Velojet: thanks

  • Agreed.

Consider Metal_X's post as his own opinion.

  • I think i was misunderstooded... Forget what i said...

  • Guys, i drunk last night, sorry for my nonsense words. :D

  • I think the main problem here is it's hard to communicate nuanced points of view by text in a forum! It's much easier to convey exactly what you mean in face to face conversation.

  • I'll just add 2 cents here real quick: Frustration is part of the "Entry barrier". You want to enter just about any business, there's an entry barrier keeping most folks out. There are some (few) who get over the entry barrier and they are the successful ones.

Game development is no exception, it has its entry barrier alright. And frustration is part of that barrier. As someone else said, welcome it, know that it's there to help you (by keeping others out :p ), and just breathe through it (or fly over it) keeping your mind on the end goal. It will pass :). And then it will come again, perhaps in the same form, or perhaps in some other form. And so on...

Very well put Ashley. I totaly agree!

And I think it is highly interessting, what traffic this thread is creating....and especially the word FRUSTRATION seems to be a big buzz word. This was not intended, but is wellcome as well hence it keeps the conversation going

  • Weishaupt> As for the question if other found scrolling problems, I ran into one yesterday when using scroll to object and rotate layer, but it had to do with the scrolling affecting the layer angle... Link if interested:

  • Zetar: I found my "problem" as well...and I think the main cause, was my error - sorry for that guys - but, this is also something Scirra should think about, if there's a way to prevent that - maybe an "inflight" Errormessage?

The problem was, that two instances of the Sprite that inherited the "Scroll to" behavior existed at the same time

  • Is this one of those {Slap Forehead} moments?

Well, in germany we say "am liebsten im Boden versinken" - meaning: better to vanish underground.....or something like that

...and also one going something like this: only the one, who is doing alot, can make alot of mistakes

...and due to all this, I might have to games to enter in the comp
